Region of Origin
Mut is a seaside town in southern Turkey known for nomadic goat hair kilims with geometric designs hand embroidered in wool yarn.
Goat hair is longer in fiber length and stiffer than sheep's wool. In kilims, it is woven into a durable flatweave with intricate designs hand embroidered on top with wool yarn.
