Region of Origin

Karapinar in eastern Turkey is known for its geometric designs similar to those of the Caucasus region, featuring oversized medallions and angular corner pieces, usually constructed of all wool and in runner format.

Material Details

Kork wool is shorn from the underbelly and neck of the sheep. Because these areas are more protected from the environment, the resulting wool has a much higher lanolin content and feels softer in texture and has a greater luster and sheen.
