Balikesir is a town in western Anatolia known for its nomadic Yoruk rugs featuring stepped hexagonal patterns and a maze of latch-hook motifs.

Material Details

Kork wool is shorn from the underbelly and neck of the sheep. Because these areas are more protected from the environment, the resulting wool has a much higher lanolin content and feels softer in texture and has a greater luster and sheen.
