Region of Origin

Dosemealti in southwestern Anatolia, just north of the seaside city of Antalya, is known for its rugs featuring Anatolian motifs centered around a prevalent, stylized cross design.

Material Details

Kork wool is shorn from the underbelly and neck of the sheep. Because these areas are more protected from the environment, the resulting wool has a much higher lanolin content and feels softer in texture and has a greater luster and sheen.
