Region of Origin

Dazkiri means "bare field" in Turkish. It is a village in Anatolia where rugs tend to feature a large diamond medallion with spandrels, where the medallion and field are filled with geometricized florets.

Material Details

Kork wool is shorn from the underbelly and neck of the sheep. Because these areas are more protected from the environment, the resulting wool has a much higher lanolin content and feels softer in texture and has a greater luster and sheen.
