Recycled Sari Silk Rugs

The Sarisilk Collection is handwoven with - you guessed it - recycled sari silk. The sari, or saree, dates back to 2800 BCE and translates from Sanskrit to “strip of cloth”. a sari is a remarkably versatile (and elegant) garment, which can be draped in over 100 ways. Artisans remove individual threads from recycled silk saris, sort them by color, and spin them into a yarn of hundreds of shades.
