We originally made our Modern Daybed as a prop for our photo studios. In search of a piece which felt interesting but not invasive, we researched design classics and had craftsmen in Casablanca and Istanbul create this minimalist oak daybed. Its simple and utilitarian design will complement any rug and any room.
The MaterialNatural finished solid oak is a traditional wood admired for its timelessness, durability, and heft. Wool is a stalwart textile, with a hydrophobic layer that repels dust and dirt, as well as lanolin, which provides its trademark luster and protects the fiber from breaking or shedding.
The MakerFounded in 1958, our partner has specialized in building furniture for over 60 years. They prioritize sustainability, quality, ergonomics, and functionality—marrying these with aesthetic principles.
The DesignerOur in-house, all-star design team collaborates across three different countries. Based in Los Angeles, Istanbul, and Mumbai, they put a lot of thought into each and every collection they design. Starting with the weave itself, they determine material and technique, then create moodboards to capture the look and feel before starting to design. When designs are finalized, they work with the supplier on an extensive sampling process, perfecting each style and color before it goes to production.
