More about Green Rugs

Green rugs are quite versatile and elegant, whether small or large. These pieces achieve their green hues through a variety of types of dye, like spinach, yarrow, dyer's broom, chamomile, nettle, red onion skins, and black-eyed susans. Green, it turns out, is an easy color to style, from light green to dark green, because it's at once modern and traditional and fits with just about anything. We like using green area rugs in kids' rooms because it brings in a feeling of nature, like your whole room is a field of grass! And yet, these rugs are naturally sophisticated, especially darker shades, like emerald or olive green, which makes them ideal in living or dining rooms, especially as rich or deeper shades like forest green will do wonders to hide any accidental dirt. Green Persian rugs are also excellent for living or dining rooms, as their classic designs were once in the palaces of kings and queens, so they add a regal air to any room they land in. Whereas rugs in paler shades like sage or mint green can feel very sweet and calming - which means they're especially nice in a bedroom, or serene for a study. Brighter shades like lime green or blue green, or rugs with lively constructions like shag rugs, or vintage Moroccan rugs are perfect for adding a witty or insoucient vibe to your room. These rugs are good in playrooms, kids' rooms, studies, or anywhere you need a dash of eclectic design. Green runners are particularly charming, adding a fresh air to a hallway or kitchen. You can find a green rug that will look good with any style of decor, from classic to contemporary to bohemian to a mix of all three. These rugs also look good with many different color schemes: able to hold their own against bright colorful decor, or complement a more neutral palette.
