Flexible, soft, and easy to clean, our low pile machine-washable rugs are the latest addition to our washable repertoire. After nearly two years of development, we've made a rug that fits more effectively in a washer and still looks and feels good. Made of recycled materials, these pieces resemble a wool flatweave in touch and appearance. Their lightness and foldability helps them fit snugly in your washing machine, while their cotton backing keeps them strong.
The DesignOur washable Cloudflower collection draws inspiration from traditional floral rugs. In our research, we looked to these classic hand-knotted florals, ikebana arrangements, surrealist landscapes, and the spacious, almost mystical composition of certain Oushak designs. The Hyssop rug feels like a kaleidoscopic coloring book.
The MaterialSoft as wool with a subtle silk-like sheen, our polyester is highly durable, OEKO-TEX certified for safety, mildew-resistant, and machine-washable. These rugs are made with a recycled cotton and mixed-fiber backing that's transformed from collected clothing and other discarded textiles and repurposed into a sturdy, flexible backing material.
The MakerOur partner in Turkey is dedicated to the quality of its innovative products and sustainably-minded practices. We worked carefully with them to produce the designs exactly as envisioned; and we chose them for their skill and ability, which outmatched many other potential partners.
The DesignerOur in-house, all-star design team collaborates across three different countries. Based in Los Angeles, Istanbul, and Mumbai, they put a lot of thought into each and every collection they design. Starting with the weave itself, they determine material and technique, then create moodboards to capture the look and feel before starting to design. When designs are finalized, they conduct an extensive sampling process, perfecting each style and color before it goes to production.
- Clean regularly with a non-rotary vacuum. Rotate on occasion to ensure even wear over time.
- When it's time for a deeper clean, machine wash your rug with like colors on cool/delicate with 1 TBSP of gentle detergent.
- For sizes up to 5'x8' we recommend using a 4cu ft home washing machine, for 6'x9' we recommend a 4.5cu ft home washing machine, for 8'x10' we recommend a 5cu ft home washing machine, and for sizes 9'x12' and up we recommend a 60lb (8cu ft) commercial washing machine. Please call your local laundromat ahead of time to determine if the right washer size is available.

- Please note: this piece's cotton backing will cause slight shrinkage, from 1-2% after the first few washes. Pull your rug at the corners to stretch it back out, just like a cotton t-shirt.
